Somatic Therapy for Your True Self

Pain Reprocessing Therapy | Somatic Therapy

You want to be aligned.

You want to be balanced.

You want to be yourself.

Maybe chronic pain isn’t necessarily an issue for you.

But your relationship with your body, and your relationship with your true self—if we’re being honest—is not good.

Maybe you’re queer. You’re with us in the lgbtqia+ family.

So you’ve dealt with some shit. And you’ve always thought you were relatively emotionally balanced.

  • You’re pretty resilient.

  • You’re pretty unshakable.

  • You’re kinda tough.

  • You’re strong, you’re flexible, you’re adaptable.

But you’re recently discovering that you’re keeping a lot of your true self down. What you thought was a balanced self is actually a repressed self.

You’re waking up to something.

Maybe you started some kind of growth practice. Maybe you started a new relationship. Maybe you ended an old relationship.

Something deepened in your life.

Maybe you’re waking up to the fact that, indeed, you’ve been through trauma.

And maybe significant trauma. Maybe you didn’t even realize it.

You’ve always accepted your anxiety, your self-repression, and your low self-worth as normal.

  • Maybe you liked to think “gay trauma didn’t really affect me.”

  • You liked to think you were somehow above it.

  • You liked to think your upbringing wasn’t that bad.

I’m just gonna venture a wild guess and say: those old beliefs might be wrong.

You’re a human. So, whether you acknowledge it or not, adversity affects you too.

As you’re realizing the gravity of what you’ve been through, you’re also realizing that you had to develop certain personality traits in order to be a person who could “endure” it. But now you’re starting to see—that person is not really you. You are much more.

As your consciousness is deepening, you feel a little shocked. You feel a little off-balance. And you’re also thinking, “maybe everyone else knows this already.” You’re wondering, “am I behind?”

But you’re also excited. You’re hopeful. You’re finding that life might be a lot deeper than you expected. You, yourself, might be a lot deeper than you expected.

This is an opportunity to elevate.

Now, you need a place to process all this. And you need someone to process it with.

It would be my honor.

You can have confidence in the process of psychotherapy. It’s designed to help you tune into yourself. It’s designed to help you process trauma. It’s designed to help you integrate. It’s designed, truly, for you.

  • Learn how to tune in to your true self.

  • Get to know your desires.

  • Learn how to make a decision—based on what you really want.

  • Learn how to let others in.

  • Let go of shame for who you are.

  • Let go of shame for being a human being, with a human nature all your own.

  • Become a person who likes yourself.

Somatic therapy will help you. Take the opportunity. Give yourself this gift.

Become a whole person, and learn to be who you already are.
